There are few places in New Zealand that can inspire you to paint as much as Kaikoura, New Zealand. Growing up in Kaikoura inspired me to paint my favourite boyhood haunts, usually with Mt Fyffe dominating the background.
My inspiration for painting comes from Kaikoura artist Aston Greathead, whose work I greatly admired from a young age. I have tried to emulate his style but have failed miserably so have to be content with what my brushes do actually produce.
I hope you enjoy my favourite places - Lyell Creek, New Wharf, Old Wharf, Slipway, Jimmy Armers, Kahutara, Ohau, Barneys Rock, North Beach and South Bay.
(If you like a painting that has already been sold then I can paint another with the same scene. It will be slightly different but it will still capture the essence of the preferred scene.)
